A transducer is essentially a speaker without a diaphragm. Instead, the magnetic coil moves a metal plate that can then be used to vibrate and excite surfaces.
Designed to work with the Beepboop Eurostack Sound system speaker module (1W) but can handle up 25W!
To drive the transducer with the Eurostack Sound System module, simply connect the 2.1mm DC barrel socket on the panel and transducer using the 2.1mm Male-Male DC power cable included.
The advantage of having a DC socket as opposed to hard wired is you can choose a cable length that suits your application and it also makes replacing the cable easy if it gets damaged.
The transducer can be used as part of a DIY Reverb set up!
To do this, you will need a Eurorack Sound System speaker module, transducer, 2hp Kontact Amp module, Piezo/Hydrophone mic and a medium to pass the sound through. Monojack personally uses a metal shelf :)
Things get really weird and interesting when you introduce feedback – control the feedback path using a delay / filter / compressor.
