An afternoon of patching, sound making and sonic adventuring here in the shop!
Over the course of the afternoon we’ll cover some basic topics introducing the eurorack modular system, oscillators, filters and modulation, taking a look at sequencing and creating our our percussive sounds on the way. This is designed to be a friendly and accessible exploration of analog synthesis using the modular format – no prior experience with electronic music needed. Ideal for those wanting to try their hand at modular, self-taught patchers wanting to go back over the basics or any musicians looking for some new skills and inspiration.
We’ll be using 3 identical Doepfer analog systems so you can patch-along as we’re explaining the different sections and concepts. There are 9 spaces available for the workshop, which runs from 12 midday to 5pm on Sunday the 25th in our shop on Stokes Croft. The afternoon consists of a mixture of activities, taught materials and plenty of practical, hands-on time to explore the techniques and ideas, plus plenty of tea and biscuit breaks.
This tickets gets you 1 x space at the workshop.
